Scope and Topics
The EAI Mobility IoT 2026, 12th EAI International Conference on Mobility, IoT and Smart Cities, aims to develop discussion and review of cutting-edge technologies and innovations. This multidisciplinary event convenes researchers, industry experts, and policymakers to explore the convergence of
intelligent mobility systems, connected infrastructures, and urban digital transformation, shaping the future of our cities.
Topics
- Key themes within the Internet of Things (IoT) domain include, but not limited
to: - Edge AI and TinyML enable real-time, energy-efficient intelligence on low-power devices.
- Secure-by-design frameworks and lightweight cryptographic solutions.
- Novel approaches to secure communication protocols for IoT networks.
- Privacy-preserving data analytics techniques in smart environments.
- Frameworks for vulnerability assessment and risk management in IoT
ecosystems - AI-driven analytics and IoT sensing collaborate to enhance autonomous
and predictive systems across various sectors such as smart homes
and healthcare. - Machine learning applications in predictive maintenance across
industries.
The Mobility track highlights (but not limited to:):
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) – Utilizing data from vehicles and infrastructure to optimize traffic flow, safety, and environmental outcomes.
- Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) – Employing V2X
communication and automation to transform urban transportation. - Ethical implications and safety challenges in autonomous driving
technologies. - Real-time traffic prediction models using big data analytics and
multimodal data fusion. - Integration of ITS with smart city infrastructure for enhanced mobility.
- Use of AI to improve incident detection and response times.
In the Smart Cities theme, topics include, but not limited to:
- Sustainable Urban Infrastructure – Integrating digital tools into energy, water, and waste management for improved efficiency and resilience.
- Urban Digital Twins – Simulating and optimizing city operations in real-time.
- Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) – Connecting infrastructure and human behavior for adaptive urban services.
- Data Governance and Ethics – Ensuring responsible, transparent, and equitable data usage.

Paper Submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
- Regular papers should be up to 12-20 pages in length.
- Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.
All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.
